About The Gallery

We are unable to feature all the photographs on sale in the gallery - they are just too numerous - but we have chosen some of the best by our photographers.

Jeffrey Jaye's wonderful images in his own unique style, particularly those of the Thames at Richmond, Twickenham and through London, are always popular with residents and overseas visitors alike. His photographs of Venice and New York are simply superb. "Yellow Cabs in Manhattan" and "The Chrysler Building" particularly capture the spirit of the City, especially when printed in large format.

Mike Peter's photographs of the Rolling Stones at Eel Pie Island and the Richmond Jazz Festival in the 1960s are unique and bought by fans of all ages, but especially those who actually saw them perform locally at the time. So many people come in and say "I was there!" or (more often) "My Dad was there!". Mike has traveled the world taking photographs, far too many to feature here, but we are including one of his most popular: an iconic image taken in Cuba: "Revolucion".

We also stock local photographs by Joanna Jackson, all of which feature in her books: "A Year in the Life of Richmond" and "A Year in the Life of Richmond Park".

Among our antique prints and maps we have always tried to feature as much of the local and SW London area as possible, but as time has gone on, the good prints have more and more difficult to source.

Fortunately, a local resident who is writing a book on the history of the area, has come up with a series of well known views from the early 20th century which he has scanned and reproduced. The best of these are available on this site and it is fascinating to see how little the borough has changed in almost 100 years.
